Attending the meeting the next night was even more of an honor because we got to learn all about NPC and what they do. It was incredible to see all 26 Panhellenic sororities represented by their national delegates. We also got the honor of meeting Theta’s delegate Mary Jane Beach as well as many Theta alumnae from the St. Louis area and other sorority women as well. It was really interesting to see how the NPC works, what they stand for, and how their goals have been accomplished over the years. I was even more impressed about everyone coming together as a Panhellenic community to create a better community for all! This conference truly helped those in attendance to see why being a sorority woman is great and how we can make a difference in our chapter, the world and ourselves. Having all the chapters on campus surrounding us helped put into perspective that it isn’t just about our sisters, but the entire Panhellenic community as a whole. The message was inspiring and can serve us well as we continue to lead and learn.
It really was an honor to have leading woman, Callie, as a representative for our chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta at the meeting. Getting the opportunity to learn and instill the messages of NPC, coupled with the values of Theta, in ourselves and those we come in contact with along the way is something Eta Omega will not soon forget!
