For the most part, I’ll be staying behind the scenes to report on Theta happenings. But in my first blog, I’d like to talk about my own experiences with Theta. Going through recruitment wasn’t originally part of my plan. And even after recruitment, even during the excitement that is bid day, I wasn’t 100 percent sure sorority life was for me. Somewhere between apple picking and retreat, though, Theta became one of my favorite parts of SLU. When I look back on the past few months, so many of my favorite memories involve a Theta sister. From getting a big (and then getting sushi afterwards) to driving around at midnight looking for French fries, I’ve done so much with my Theta sisters already. Even some of my least favorite parts of college – the grueling hours in Pius Library and the drive home to Kansas City – have been made significantly more bearable by Theta sisters.
I hope that throughout the next year this blog is a fun way to read about the adventures of the Eta Omega chapter. 2017, here we come!
