Kappa Alpha Theta women care for their sisters. We know that it is crucial to know we are not alone in this crazy life. Luckily, we have the Sisters Supporting Sisters program. Since Theta's mission is to offer a lifelong opportunity for social, moral, and intellectual growth, the Sister Supporting Sisters mental health initiative was born. It's all about creating a loving atmosphere and increasing dialogue about the importance of mental health. There are resources on this link that help sisters recognize symptoms of multiple mental health challenges, suggest methods to help other women, and more information about the professional counseling service Talk One-2-One. I love the webinars about dealing with finals stress, anger management, anxiety, etc too! This initiative is one of my favorite things that Theta has done. We can never be reminded enough that people want to help, can help, and will help.

Especially in the wake of Robin Williams' death earlier today, it got me thinking about how important it is to care about others and to know that others care for us. He was the voice of many of our childhoods, from Jumanji to Mrs Doubtfire and RV, he made us laugh, took us on crazy adventures, and inspired us. I took to Pinterest (again), as any grieving woman does, and stumbled upon some of his best quotes. RIP Robin Williams.
In honor of Beta Theta Pi's Founder's Day today, here's a flashback to our first Greek Week paired with them! Their dance moves helped earn us first place at Greek-a-Palooza and 2nd place overall. We made a great team as #ThetaBeta2014...Even the hashtag sounds great!!!
Happy Founder's Day!!!
We are the Eta Omega chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta at Saint Louis University. We were established on November 9th, 2013. We have over 180 wonderful sisters that are alike in many ways but all with unique interests. Our blog will highlight many of these.
